Hydrogen in chondrites: Influence of parent body alteration and atmospheric contamination on primordial components

Ⓒ Luke Daly.

In this GCA article, we report bulk H, C and N concentration and isotopic compositions on new and previously measured chondrites. We show the importance of removing the atmospheric contamination before sample measurement as it can strongly influence the hydrogen (H) content and isotopic composition (𝛿D or D/H) of chondrites and biased the discussion on the nature of asteroidal effects and primordial components.
